New HIE Platform is Launching Soon

Rochester RHIO (RRHIO), in partnership with HEALTHeLINK, our Health Information Exchange (HIE) counterpart in Buffalo, will transition from Explore+ to a new clinical query platform, Fusion, in late July.

Once the transition is complete, users will be able to access patient medical records across the Western New York, Finger Lakes, and Southern Tier regions.

Also in late July, HEALTHeLINK will assume support for Rochester RHIO participants from our 14-county service area.

HEALTHeLINK successfully transitioned its Buffalo-region participants to Fusion earlier this year and is well positioned to support RRHIO participants going forward. As we approach the transition, our teams will work closely with Rochester RHIO participants to ensure a smooth transition to support from HEALTHeLINK.

This effort is part of a broader statewide initiative led by the Statewide Health Information Network for New York (SHIN-NY)New York eHealth Collaborative (NYeC), and other partners to streamline infrastructure and share services, reduce duplication, and make the best use of healthcare resources.
